Slick, it's not even done and you are giving it a 10? She hasn't even finished rendering the hands/feet, bird etc.

I love this, she is held captive and the raven holds the key! her face is just stunning. the whole piece has a beautiful mystical mood. well done my friend

Wysiwyg: To me calling it not the final version basically means that I have kept the original working file (at the last ones I sadly didn't do that) and am open to critiques to use them for this piece because I am looking for the highest quality (that I will never reach anyways) which is possible.

So I woulda found your comment more constructive if you'd given actually some real cirtique for improvement. (For instance: the bird looks finished to me but if you think there is something to add to make it look more finished then please be so kind to tell me )

Wysiwig: One of my art teacher used to say exactly that: A piece of art is never finished.

(Because finished would mean to art that it's perfect, but since human beings can't raach perfection there is ALWAYS something that you can improve )

Hi Azu This figure is very, very attractive. I'm no kind of CG artist so cant say more technically than what I'm looking at. The hair is totally beautiful, whilst skintones, pose and expression are well executed. I particularly like the palette you've used. The sky/clouds are well constructed, and in keeping the with atmosphere/tone of the overall imagery. She's a very attractive figure.

I must agree with Brett in that her foot looks like it may need just a lil more rounding, whilst the bird needs filling out just a little more to give it a lil more depth. These two items are my only (minor) issues with it I think.

Regardless Azu, I like this latest from you very, very much (she actually looks almost like someone I knew many years ago, even the quizzical expression on her face)

Beautiful! there are so many details and everything is drawn well. especially the mouth and her clothes. the raven looks flat though. and the curtains are too transparent. you should put them more opaque and draw some lines. We have to see the background through the curtains but just barely. and one last thing: her face is too bright compared to the rest of her body. add some shadows on her forehead just under her hair. you should also add more shadows on the top of her hair. The girl is really pretty. I love you drawing! I hope I helped you a bit. If you think my comment was mean, then go and put a really mean comment on one of my works! speaking of which, they aren't that good compared to yours..

you have really put a goal for yourself, I admire that. There are little things in the pic that are maybe not perfect, but I can see the effort that's put in it. I love the black curly thingies, and her face is also really good, with the lip gloss and all.

The birs is definately better, well done. However, I am almost capable of thinking you darkened the surroundings too much. It might be a matter of personal opinion though. You could, if you want to, make her leg, foot and arm slimmer and thus more feminine.

When you wrote something about being busy working on a bigger painting in the description for the last one you uploaded I knew there was something coming, and now I’m glad to see it.

This is very impressive in many ways. The mood, the colour scheme and the detail put into some parts. Those clouds are amazing, and her lips are too, lovely.

But there are still some problems. I see mainly two. First off the foot still doesn’t look good. The ankle is too thick even considering her thick legs, and the angle of the woot seems unnatural compared to the angle of the leg. Just take away some of the flesh on the top of the ankle, and I think it will be fine.

Then there is the hair. The detail is nice, but I think it looks all too flat. You should try to work more volume into the hair working more with light and shadows, thinking of the hair not as individual straws but as groups of them.

There are some things to think about if you have the power to keep working, anyway, a great painting!

I am not a painter or a professional.....but I would darken more the background and also find the shadows on her left leg a little confusing.....it is almost as dark as the right one ....it probably should be lighter... or darken the shadows on the right one......just my ignorant opinion.....But I do enjoy the work.......Love you!!!

Das Gesicht ist absolut toll. Besonders die Lippen und die Zähne finde ich phänomenal (schade, dass soetwas immer in der Verkleinerung verloren geht. Aber zum Glück gibts ja Close-ups ;P)
Tjo, und hier kommen wir schon zum eigentlichen Problem. Während der Kopf unglaublich plastisch wirkt, ist der Rest des Bildes flach, matt und grob.
Die Haut hat einen vollkommen anderen Farbwert und es findet sich nirgendwo dieser 'schimmernde' Effekt wieder, den du beim Gesicht eingesetzt hast.
Es wirkt auf mich, als hättest du nach dem Gesicht keine Lust mehr auf den Rest gehabt (etwas, das ich übrigens sehr gut selbst kenne ;P).
Arme, Hände und Beine haben bei weitem nicht den gleichen Realismus, wie das Gesicht. Ich denke, das kriegst du in den Griff, wenn du noch etwas an der Colo arbeitest (so wie du es im Gesicht getan hast) und damit die Formen der Gelenke und Muskeln besser zur Geltung bringst.

Die schwarzen Verzierungen, die du immer so gerne bei deinen Bildern einsetzt, lassen es zusätzlich flach wirken.

Zum Haar: Ich finde die Strähnen zwar schön, aber sie sind sehr steif und sollten sich eigentlich mehr der Form des Körpers anpassen. Es sei denn, die Dame hat zuviel Haarspray benutzt.

Was mir bei deinen Bildern immer wieder auffällt, ist die Unausgeglichenheit. Während ein Teil sehr ausgearbeitet und 'professionel wirkt, ist ein anderer Teil... das genaue Gegenteil.

Also wenn du dem Rest des Bildes die gleiche Aufmerksamkeit widmest, wie dem Gesicht, dann ist das Bild sicherlich fantastisch

I'll write a review as soon as I've got time, sorry i'm so slow azu...

When I clicked on this, I clicked on it because I thought the mouth was very well rendered, and plus it was you, and I like some of your stuff. Anyhow, I have several critiques. I think it's a great sketch/concept, and hope you go as far as to fully render it.

As a whole, however, the details just don't match with that of the lips. Because of the position/size of the shoulder, it makes it look like her body is either huge, or her head is extremely small. My only suggestion without changing her entire position is to cover her upper arms with a sleeve or something othe sort. Her calves are nigh the same size as her face, which just doesn't seem right to me. Those black things on her arms/legs are rather sketchie still, along with the wall and floor, which still seem rather flat.

I personally liked the curtains position earlier on in the painting. But that's just me. The clouds in the bg are very well rendered, almost photo real, which is great. I like her dress. Perhaps more shadows on her face where her hair is? And a slight bit more work on the crow, and I think this could be a very nice piece. I won't vote yet, just in case it's a work in progress. But I'll check back later because I really would like to see this painting fully realized.

Das Face-Closeup ist wirklich atemberaubend.
Ich wünschte ich hätte deine Fähigkeiten. Beneidenswert.
Am großen ganzen lässt sich kaum noch etwas verbessern. Vielleicht den Schädel des Rabens ein wenig flacher machen. Aber im Grunde ist das ja nicht falsch, es gibt Raben mit solchen Schädeln. Ach, ich gebs auf.
Ich finde nichts was mich stört.

Very pretty but her pose confused me a little. For some reason her top half led me to beleive she was leaning and then I saw these legs pop out and became very confused. I understand it isn't finished but perhaps just some extra detail on the limbs, the hair is wonderful as are the colours. I love it

Oh! Its wonderful! It reminds me on a Series by CLAMP named "Clover" The Girl had White Hair, too. And she is also caged and likes Birds like yours! And the nearly Plantlike Lines in teh Foreground can even be found in this Book, too! I like it very much!
